The EUC Engineer is responsible for developing/uplifting and delivering EUC solutions to improve the UX for MMS group staff, identifying and recording risks, provide technical expertise to the broader Service Operations team, and has a strong customer focus to improve the user experience across the MMS Group.
They will be working on a hybrid model of work in a workplace that offers flexibility, if successful on application.
The EUC Engineer will be responsible for resolving incidents/ fulfilling requests, following ITIL good practice of Change Management discipline for deploying changes to Production.
Hardware and Software Asset Management
- Software package creation for deployment via InTune or SCCM. Knowledge in SCCM, Windows, PowerShell scripting, Microsoft InTune, Entra ID, Active Directory & Autopilot.
- Prepare, install and support Windows systems, maximising on feature updates, and
- Onboarding new hardware, maximising on feature updates and MOE integration, implementing new hardware and software updates
- Manage the installation and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Create, plan and supervise the deployment of new operating system releases, vendor patches, and firmware/drive upgrades.
- Develop and document standardised user processes and procedures, inclusive of knowledge base and policy creation.
- Manage SOE and recommend enhancements and optimisation.
- Educate and develop skills of Service Desk/Desktop teams of EUC changes/enhancements. Upskill and develop capabilities within the team.
Production Support
- Support existing EUC systems (SCCM, InTunes, M365, Autopilot, Entra ID automations and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
- Knowledge of ITSM and experience with an ITSM tool to manage incident, request and change records relating to EUC
- Owning the resolution of incidents, driving root cause analysis to implement permanent resolutions.
- Manage the installation and maintenance of hardware and software
- Responsible for the SCCM environment, supporting system upgrades where required
- Develop and document standardised user processes and procedures, inclusive of knowledge base and policy creation
- Create and maintain documentation for the IT Service Desk/Desktop team
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse MOE (SOE) and recommend enhancements and optimisation
- Educate and develop IT skills of Service Desk/Desktop teams of EUC changes/enhancements. Upskill and develop the capabilities within the team
Systems and Data Security
- Creation and updating of group policies adhering to Microsoft’s security baselines and best practice.
You will bring:
Essential
- Microsoft: M365, Exchange, AD, SCCM, Win10
- RMM
- 2 years’ experience in end-user computing, infrastructure or related role
Desirable
- Microsoft: Entra ID, InTune, Autopilot, Win11
- Powershell, Proofpoint
- Education, training and certification in Microsoft Server and Domain Technologies: MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional) or MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) or equivalent, and/or relevant short course qualifications.
