Mr Akhurst is currently Chair of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and is a former non-executive Director of Tabcorp Holdings Limited. Mr Akhurst was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Sensis, Group Managing Director and General Counsel of Telstra, Partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Council member of RMIT University and a Director of Vocus Group Limited.

Mr Akhurst is considered an independent director under the Company's definition of independence.

Mr Akhurst is Chair of the People, Culture and Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee, and the Nomination Committee.
